Experience
I have tutored since my first year at University of Miami in 2009 - mostly middle school, high school, and college level courses as well as ACT prep (my ACT score: 34 overall, 36 in math). I've also TA'ed throughout medical school in Neuroscience, Genetics, Biostatistics and Epidemiology and tutored medical students in Genetics and Biochemistry. I enjoy tutoring because I like seeing students reach their full potential. Every student is intelligent and has the capacity to do well, but not all students are meant to learn in a large classroom with generalized instruction. Furthermore, most teachers never show students proper ways to study and expect them to learn on their own. Sometimes students just have difficulty because they don't know how to interpret questions; the self-proclaimed 'bad test-takers'. This is where I come in. From my extensive experience tutoring learners of all levels and my clinical training with patients, I have the unique ability to easily determine an individual's learning style, quickly adapt my techniques to make each session highly efficacious, and clearly explain complex concepts in a variety of simple and sometimes creative ways.
